My yoga journey is ever-evolving and growing deeper as I move through this new season of my life. I have long been a teacher, whether it was in a classroom, a gym, or studio, I have always LOVED to teach. While I have worn many hats throughout my life and career, I have found that Yoga has helped me remain calm and grounded - especially when I find myself in transition. It was only natural that I would eventually find myself taking the 200 hour Yoga Teacher training course.
As your instructor, my intention is to support you in your daily asana practice through movement and breath work. I believe that everything begins with the breath and when we are able to focus on that one point, we are able to find the calming stillness that our mind and body craves.
I have been involved in fitness since beginning sports in my pre-teen years, and have loved helping others with their fitness goals since high school. At the age of 22 I started my first job as a personal trainer, and since then my approach to program design has been geared toward integrating and connecting the body through dynamic movement combinations. As I grew in my practice i gravitated toward functional movement patterns and mobility more and more. Eventually I dove in to my yoga practice 6 years ago, and integrated many of the philosophies into my training style. Since then i have been leading meditations as a part of my offerings, and teaching ways to take an intuitive approach to developing daily self care practices. Body awareness and movement that is healing for the nervous system are fundamental aspects of what i offer, as well as playful movement flows designed to help you move well and be well.
The inner peace found in mindfulness, the sense of strength inherent in movement, and the vitality of breath are attributes of a yoga practice that serve me on the mat and carry
My intention in class is to offer guidance as you discover and experience a practice that fits and fulfills you, and to cultivate a sense of community with other yogis.
Lynn has practiced yoga for years, completing a 200 hour yoga teacher training program in 2018. She seeks depth, balance and creativity in her yoga, and in life’s endeavors.
